德甲联赛豪门球队拜仁慕尼黑官方宣布，球队已经签下了此前刚刚被夏洛特黄蜂裁掉的后场老将斯潘塞-丁威迪（Spencer Dinwiddie），而且这份合同中还不包括NBA跳出选项。这也就意味着首次出现在欧洲赛场上的丁威迪很有可能会在拜仁慕尼黑打满整个赛季的比赛。
丁威迪出生于1993年4月，现年32岁，身高196cm，体重86kg，是2014年NBA选秀大会中底特律活塞在次轮第37顺位选中的来自科罗拉多大学的后场球员。上赛季丁威迪效力于达拉斯独行侠，在上赛季的NBA常规赛中，丁威迪在82场比赛中总共出场79次，场均出场时间达到了27分钟，场均数据为11分2.6篮板4.4助攻0.9抢断0.2盖帽，还有1.3次失误和1.5次犯规，投篮命中率41.6%，三分命中率33.4%，罚球命中率80.2%。
虽然在上赛季的表现不太理想，但是夏洛特黄蜂在今年夏天还是为丁威迪送出了一份为期1年，总金额为360万美元的老将底薪合同，而且合同还是保障性质的。在此前的NBA季前赛中，丁威迪总共出场2次，场均出场时间达到了15分钟，场均数据为3分1.5篮板3助攻，还有1.5次失误和1次犯规，投篮命中率33.3%，三分命中率0%，罚球命中率50%。可能也是因为表现实在是太差了一些，与黄蜂教练组的要求有着巨大的差距，黄蜂选择了直接裁掉手持标准合同的丁威迪，这一点多多少少是有些让人无法预见的。
拜仁慕尼黑之所以选择签下丁威迪，也和上赛季带领球队拿下德甲联赛冠军的前NBA球员沙巴兹-内皮尔（Shabazz Napier）在今年夏天选择了跳出合同并且回到了NBA赛场担任助理教练密切相关。球队虽然签下了卡马尔-鲍德温（Kamar Baldwin），但是从目前的情况来看，指望他成为球队的核心人物多多少少有些勉为其难。这种情况下，他们最终选择了签下经验丰富但是上赛季在NBA赛场上表现有些缺乏竞争力的丁威迪，也是为了填补内皮尔离队后球队在一号位位置上的短板。对于丁威迪来说，考虑到拜仁慕尼黑有机会参加德甲联赛和欧冠联赛的比赛，他也有机会通过自己的努力引起更多的关注，不知道他在今后还有没有机会重返NBA赛场了。
